Ralph welcomes conservative Constitutional scholar, Bruce Fein, who argues against the appointment of John Bolton as National Security Advisor and why that should be a position confirmed by the Senate. Plus, Jack Gillis, co-author of “The Car Book,” gives us tips on how to buy the safest, most reliable car. And, a listener asks, “Did Ralph pave the way for Citizens United?”

I for one appreciated very much the interview with Jack Gillis. I’ve been listening to RNRH for a few months now, and not too long ago Ralph was interviewing someone from Consumer Reports. I use that publication religiously any time I’m in the market for a new car. I recall vividly my wife’s old 2008 Saturn Outlook (we don’t have it anymore) and the problems we had with it. I loved Saturn vehicles, never had a problem. So this was a surprise to both of us. Next thing we knew Saturn had closed shop in ’09. Later I was perusing a Consumer Reports and went to the used car section and right there in the section of Used Cars To Avoid was the ’08 Outlook! I can only guess Saturn ceased to care about making a quality car when they realized their days were numbered.
Nevertheless, I do miss that brand. Was so en vogue when it first came out in the early 90s and not for shallow reasons either; they were well built, reliable, great gas mileage and were safe. Oh yeah and affordable too.
Back to Gillis, great piece of advice he gave that we should shop for cars at the end of the month. Dealers are always wanting to move inventory but I didn’t realize the end-of-the-month thing. Thanks.
Dear Mr. Nader,
I cannot thank you enough for all you’ve done!
