And ocean conservationist, David Helvarg, of Blue Frontier returns to tell us all about his latest bipartisan campaign to end offshore oil drilling called The Sea Party Coalition.
Arno J. Mayer is emeritus professor of history at Princeton University. Born in 1926 into a Jewish family that fled to the United States during the Nazi invasion of Luxembourg in May 1940, he was later drafted into the United States Army and served as an intelligence officer. Among many scholarly works, Professor Mayer is the author of The Furies: Violence and Terror in the French and Russian Revolutions and Plowshares Into Swords: From Zionism to Israel.
David Helvarg is Executive Director of Blue Frontier, whose mission it is to raise awareness of the plight of our oceans and offer solutions to those problems to the marine conservation community. Mr. Helvarg is the author of six books on conservation topics. He is the editor of “The Ocean and Coastal Conservation Guide” and also the organizer of ‘Blue Vision’ Summits for ocean activists and the Peter Benchley Ocean Awards.
