Chris Hedges was a Pulitzer Prize winning war correspondent for the New York Times, covering war zones in Central America, the Middle East and the Balkans.  He is the author of eleven books, including War Is A Force That Gives Us Meaning, American Fascists,  and Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt.  He also writes a weekly column for Truthdig.


Mark Green

Mark Green and Ralph go back a long way.  Mark ran Public Citizen’s Congress Watch or ten years. After that, he went on to found the public interest organization, The New Democracy Project.  He was elected New York City’s first Public Advocate.  He is also an author, and a radio and TV commentator.  His latest book is just out this week.  It is entitled: “Bright, Infinite Future: A Generational Memoir on the Progressive Rise“.

Karen Friedman is the executive vice president and policy director of the Pension Rights Center.  Ms. Friedman has been protecting and promoting the rights of consumers for over twenty years both in the media and in front of congressional committees.  She coordinates Retirement USA and the Conversation on Coverage and also is responsible for the Pension Center’s day-to-day operations.
