I've never voted for Trump, and I'm not this time around, because of Palestine. That said, I noticed some red flags in yor interview. Without spending a lot of time reviewing it, I remember some things that stood out.
First of all, you kind of lost me using Bolton as a character reference for Trump. Bolton never changes his views and, as Max Blumenthal said on Judging Freedom, he and Sen Graham get up in the morning, eat their cereal and call for bombing of Iran. In Al Jazeera, 2019, Trump fired Bolton over Bolton's hawkish views on Iran. In addition, I don't believe Bolton always tells the truth. I heard him debate Vivek Ramaswamy on Oct 3, over, what else, US military aggression in the world, and Bolton said that the agreement between James Baker and Gorbachev for NATO not to go 1 in East was Russian propaganda, which we know it happened as it's in the Nat archives.
Another red flag was using MSM propaganda as evidence of Trump's psychopathy.
While I respect Lee's education and her work on violence, and I'm no lawyer so I can't comment on her lawsuits with Yale, from reading about her online she may have overstepped the Goldwater rule. While I don't like the name calling that Trump does, I still respect that he has withstood the constant MSM harassment and actual lies about him. I like his Ukraine stance, and willingness, hopefully, to be anti-establishment.
I voted for Biden, and I am disgusted with the state of the country and the world under his watch, and Harris's complete willingness to go with all of Biden's Neocon policies. I am also wary of Dems push for censorship.
Getting bck to Dr. Lee, I noticed that she pushed back as hard on Trump as to try to keep him away from the nuclear codes. Trump had the best record in years as to resisting going into new wars. Not perfect, as he drone stricked Soliemani, and he armed Ukraine, tho I think arming Ukraine is far from how Biden didn't even try to negotiate.
Dr Lee relies heavily on J 6, from what I've read, online. It's been proven that the J 6 Committee hid evidence that Trump had tried to call the Nat Guard and other discrepancies. I'm not entirely comfortable with it, but I'm not comfortable with the Democrat Russia Hoax, and other lies as well.
Another reason that I think Dr Lee might have overstepped her role, is she doesn't account for Trump picking JD Vance as a running mate. To me it means Trump is willing to part for good with the RINO, or Neocon Republicans like Rubio and Cotton, and pursue a new path for Republicans.
I am very interested in world peace, and I'm sure I won't ever see it, and I'm interested in detaching our lawmakers from the Israel lobby. Neither candidate fulfills that criteria.
Its very time consuming to bird dog foreign policies of candidates and their advocates.
The president has the lead on this under Article I, as opposed to domestic issues where the Congress and the states have the lead. It seems to me that the Duopoly on foreign questions is remarkably agreed on most of it. I dont see Trump or Harris disagreeing on much. They are both bacvkers of the proxy wars. Im voting forJill Stein who promises to:
Establish a foreign policy based on diplomacy, international law, and human rights
End existing wars, military actions, proxy wars and secret wars
Cut military spending by 50-75% and ensure a just transition that replaces military jobs with Green New Deal jobs
Invest the peace dividend in a Global Green New Deal to prevent climate collapse, and build toward universal access to basic human needs for food, clean water and sanitation, education, and health care for every human being on Earth
Close the vast majority of the 700+ foreign US military bases
Stop U.S. support and arms sales to human rights abusers
Lead on global nuclear disarmament
End unilateral economic sanctions that primarily harm civilian populations
Remove war powers from the president and restore Congress’ sole power to declare war
Disband NATO and replace it with a modern, inclusive security framework that respects the security interests of all nations and people
Demand an immediate ceasefire in Israel and Palestine, an end to the blockade of Gaza, immediate humanitarian and medical relief, and release of hostages and political prisoners
Immediately end all military aid to Israel and adopt sanctions until Israel complies with international law to put an end to decades of violence, illegal occupation, displacement, dispossession, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing
End the longstanding US practice of vetoing UN Security Council resolutions to hold Israel accountable to international law
Move to end the UN Security Council to ensure the UN is a true democratic body
Remove U.S. troops from Iraq and Syria
Stop fueling the war between Russia and Ukraine and lead on negotiating a peaceful end
End the embargo of Cuba and normalize relations
End sanctions on Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela that amount to collective punishment of civilian populations
End US interventionist policies that drive people to become migrant refugees
End the failed drug wars and stop regime change attempts against foreign governments
Ban the use of killer drones, robots, and artificial intelligence
Close the Guantanamo Bay detention camp
Ensure family-supporting wages and benefits for military service members
Fully fund veterans’ programs and benefits, including healthcare, mental health, housing, and job training, for a transition to civilian life
Protect the rights of service members, including conscientious objectors
“A nation that continues year after year to spend more money on military defense than on programs of social uplift is approaching spiritual death.” -Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
I am voting for Stein as well. I wrote at the start of my comment that I was not voting for either mainstream candidate. Thanks for answering and all your valuable information.
With maybe the exception of Jimmie Carter, I can’t think of any President (and few Congresspersons) who are or were psychologically fit to lead this country over my lifetime.
I don’t see Trump all that different in the scheme of things. Biden has not significantly undone much of Trump’s domestic policies. He has not rolled back the tax cuts given the rich. His Covid bailout curiously benefited the rich, widened the gap between them and the poor and I would think, was a major cause of our double digit inflation over his Presidency. When it comes to waging wars, genocide and moving the nuclear clock to zero, Biden is hard to top. I could go on and on.
I’m not saying Trump is psychologically fit. I’m just curious why Dr. Lee singled him out— at least without giving at least near equal discredit to all of our other sociopaths.
Donald Trump is not an isolated phenomenon. He is a product of the system that has come before him and he is an accelerator of the dangers that succeed him. I do not believe that a Biden presidency would have been this dangerous without a Trump presidency preceding him.
+--+
End of common sense and deep thinking, Lee.

So, all those invasions, all those sanctions, all those 50 years of Biden in political office, equal TRUMP's short time in the dirty toilet called POTSU?
Not the lesser of two evils. THe evil of two lessers, but that is AmeriKKKan POTUS politics.
Fuck it. More rambling and blue state of Stockholm Syndrome thinking. So, Kamala Emoff is going to be wonderful. Black (sic) woman (sic) carrying the genocide to the next and next degree.
tRump was successful in extricating 74 million xenophobic racist Nazis from under their rocks, and creating an entire party that will kiss his ass as long as they get their Imperial Wizard in office.

Or... Vote against genocide and fascism!

erasingtheliberty.com *psychiatry PhD, best selling authors, news media pundits, have any intelligent theories on the murderous Israel attack on our USS Liberty - June 8 1967? IDF used napalm. ISRAEL defense forces killed 25 NSA intelligence officers.
I agree with everything that was said about Trump but I think it is just pointless to keep pointing out how terrible he is
Yes, "he" will make sure there is no accountability for dirty water, contaminated food. That's not him. It is the GOP promise, as stated by a GOP accolade - a trump administration will fire federal workers on day 1. So, while there will be laws, there will be no enforcement on things like clean water, railroads safety, NLRB, etc.
Trump only cares about Trump. As long as people around him keep the adulation, he will leave the consequential decisions to his advisors.
Biden and every democrat are just the same. Harris will not divert from the playbook. They are the real problem. They complain about republican policies but never change anything, making some of them worse - check Drop Site News for an update on what Biden is doing to the Cuban people. The State Department could be the Israeli PR arm, so much they defend whatever Israel does. Israel is a terrorist State, as is the US. But the official narrative is: they are sovereign, we don't interfere. Really? Since when we don't meddle everywhere, all the time, ignoring sovereignty?
I heard a quote, I think it is from Thomas Payne: "We have it in our power to begin the world over again". Let's apply this to how we vote. Every four years "the sky will fall" if you don't vote blue. Well, I guess the sky needs to fall. The majority of us just accept things and hope they will get better, we don't do much more. We never really experienced things that we cause in other countries (I grew up in a dictatorship that was funded and supported by the US). It sucks, it will hurt, but if we keep "saving" whatever the dems say we need to save, nothing will change, things will get worse.
I will vote Green. It is the one party that has a chance to grow and become the one that wins elections, where the changes can begin. We need to crush the democratic party, clean it up, get the "good ones" and forget the rest of them. They don't deserve our attention anymore.
I have a lot to lose under trump but I think it is past time. I am in a red state but I hope that the uncommitted block refuses to vote for Harris. I hope they do vote, that they vote Green. The democrats that tell us to fall in line are just the cream of the bourgeoisie. To them, I wish a metaphorical guillotine. Besides, there is nothing worse than genocide. NOTHING
Like Payne said, let's start this over. If we don't do it now, the next generation will have it worse, and nothing ever gets better. Do we mean what we say? Are we so coward that we pretend we believe in the tales of the democratic party?
What the bloody hell, RNRH? It is incomprehensible to me how this program could possibly have a guest on the RNRH who is openly violating American Psychiatric Association professional ethics pertaining to public statements without, at the very least, taking a deep look at the reasoning and history behind those ethical guidelines!
The only real discussion of the violation of established ethics, that I heard at least, is essentially a case of the guest saying in an obscuring manner that, ‘I’m violating established professional ethics because I don’t believe in them.’
Maybe it would be okay to discuss what was discussed if there was a lengthy discussion about the professional ethics themselves first, but from what I heard, I most certainly did not hear that discussion. This is akin to Mr. Nader having on a representative from the processed food industry, letting the representative say that the industry violates professional ethics because they don’t believe in them, and then having Mr. Nader accept that without question. I find it difficult, if not impossible, to believe that Mr. Nader would let that processed food example happen. Why this then?
It is one thing for Mr. Nader, Steve, David, Hannah, and company to make comments about politicians as general political commentators and comedians. It is another matter to take a callous, wild west approach towards the medical profession’s protection of human rights. This is not to say that the American Psychiatric Association, AMA, and so forth are beyond reproach, and I certainly don’t think that they are, but everyone listening needs to have some understanding of the ethical matters before proceeding with these types of discussions.
Beyond the ethical concerns, I question why the topic of the first segment is even being discussed here a month before the election. It seems to me that any serious people listening to this august program do not need assistance in formulating opinions about a recent former president’s personal fitness for the position. If anything, the lesser-known candidate probably deserves greater scrutiny.
More importantly than that, it is valuable to spend time discussing matters such as the politician’s views on economic matters and how it matches empirical research on economics. Matters such as employment and price stability are shown to be very important to the voting citizens in this election (and every election, really). Matters pertaining to healthcare policy and consumer protections are probably especially important to Mr. Nader’s followers. Foreign policy is always important and, of course, this show has taken that issue seriously. This valuable hour each week needs to address the other weighty issues as well because I really do think the RNRH audience wants more substantive discussions that otherwise cannot be found on TV, radio, and established podcasts.
I remember Dr. Lee on the show from December 2017. I didn't find her argument that we should look at Trump and his success primarily (or at all) through a mental health frame convincing then and I do not find it convincing now. At best, it's questionable. At worst, it's a transparently politically motivated misuse of psychiatric terminology from a profession which has a long ugly history of falsely assigning medical epithets to disfavored behavior, e.g. homosexuality. She should have addressed this history by now (maybe she has elsewhere) but she did not on the show except to allude to an internal dispute within the profession about whether it's ethical to diagnose public figures from afar.
Dr. Lee is clearly an intelligent, accomplished scholar and medical doctor but she has much more work to do before she can plausibly suggest that presidential candidates should be subject to mental health screenings, that her work with respect to Trump is not just a revival of the classic psychiatric category errors of yore. or that Trump is somehow uniquely dangerous to the body politic among the succession of sordid and increasingly criminal empire managers who have held the same office before and after him, from Reagan (if one starts there) to the present.
Absolutely Fascinating article this morning ☕ I will be reStacking your work ASAP. Thank You,Mr. Nader, for All the years of your hard work, that you've done on behalf of the American people and the World. 🇺🇸💙🌊
It wasn’t an insurrection. It was a riot. Please avoid Democratic propaganda. Yes Trump is horrible. 500,000 dead in Ukraine. 1,000,000 dead in Iraq. Zero accountability. Zero. How many will Harris kill?
After Donald Trump lost the election in 2020 through the beginning of 2021 he lost his support. Then the Biden Democrat Administration decides to put Trump and his followers in jail which saved his political career. This show with Bandy Lee will make Donald J Trump the next President. As I noted the 1st show Brandy Lee was on, she would be welcomed to the Moscow School of Psychiatry who developed the diagnosis of "sluggish schizophrenia" to explain the behavior of those who opposed the Soviet regime.
I agree that Trump is incapable of leading our country. I also believe the Democrats have supported Trump as a fear distraction. They did the same thing with the SCOTUS anti-abortion decision. They didn’t pass legislation to protect a Woman’s rights, they kept it as a fear distraction. This is a repeated pattern of the Democrats. They refuse to pass Progressive legislation so they just use the wacky conservatives to fear mongers. And then never fix anything. This is an oligarchic dynamic. Bush killed a millions, Obama severely damaged the Constitution and drone murdered a bunch, Biden has murdered 500,000 in Ukraine, maybe 200,000 in Gaza. How many will Harris kill? Were any of these sociopaths capable of leading the US Empire? Obviously our electoral process is utterly corrupt. I guess the Trump foreign policy will be less discrete and more obviously racist, but with the same mass murder, protect the Empire no matter what, results. Suddenly Ralph, you are a Democrat.
Kshama Sawant endorsed Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein during the interview on August 17th. It was edited out of the Ralph Nader Radio Hour broadcast to radio stations and only kept in the extended show clips on this website.
Jill Stein was in a couple of debates and was highlighted on Living On Earth radio show loe.org with PRI just this week. For every problem mentioned on Ralph Nader's Radio Hour and Democracy Now, we need 2 to 3 solutions and solution makers to be presented. Her political Platform is on jillstein2024.com . We look to Green Party, League of Conservation voters and other societies to give us elections recommendations and reasons for candidates and policies to support. Does public citizen have a similar resource to act as a tool for voters as they review their ballots across the nations?
In peace, environmental health, consumer advocacy, working class struggle against wall street powers Jill Stein and Green Party are nearly always on the right side. Green Party only endorses candidates who take only small campaign donations from non-corporate and non-excessively rich people so that voters can bypass Citizens United ruling corrupted candidates.
I recommend for this radio show to highlight the better news sources each time they are inclined to gripe about the corrupt media hierarchy. Present the ethical elected officials and candidates on winning side of the debate in a 3 to 1 ratio over each time problem making officials are mentioned on the show. I recommend for the show to intersperse musical interludes between interviews. Our local radio show on KZYX in Mendocino County (jukebox.kzyx.org) has an excellent theme song they often open with "The Commons" by David Rovics for example. Jill Stein was in a band years ago "Somebody's Sister" with some ethical themes in their album.
In Ralph's recent blog "Will the Democratic Party Stop Genocide and Champion Winning Domestic Issues in Time for November?" Ralph once again asks this question despite decades of it being answered with a resounding NO by the Democratic Party when they take big money. Taking big money makes them unfit and dangerous.
Ralph once again laments the Democrats abandoning the red states rather than see it as an opportunity to organize citizens to cast a write in vote to register a vote against the big money candidates on the ballot and to create and demonstrate demand for small donor candidates in 2026.
The Democrats have repeatedly given Ralph an answer of NO and Ralph has repeatedly given me an answer of NO to organizing citizens in the 90% of congressional districts gerrymandered for Republicans and Democrats to make this demand and enforce it with our votes.
The question is no longer will Ralph stop genocide and champion this issue that can make it possible to solve the many domestic and world issues that the big money politicians have proven they will not solve for obvious reasons in time for November 2024- but why won't he?
The Board of Directors may donate millions as "political speech" (you know, money talks), but they only get one ballot each on election day. Vote in your self-interest, not in the CEO's best interests.
I've never voted for Trump, and I'm not this time around, because of Palestine. That said, I noticed some red flags in yor interview. Without spending a lot of time reviewing it, I remember some things that stood out.

I have some time sensitive information Mr. Nader will likely find of interest.
Please reply with an e-mail address that will reach him promptly.
Thank you!
The Board of Directors may donate millions as "political speech" (you know, money talks), but they only get one ballot each on election day. Vote in your self-interest, not in the CEO's best interests.
