What a powerful presentation by these two physicians. I am grateful their organization has been brought to our attention on this program and I will surely follow up with them on their website. I agree that our focus should be on our politicians. They don’t represent us. We need to let them know that this is unacceptable. We should do everything we can, beginning now, to let them know that we will not support a genocide, and that includes withholding our votes from the enablers, whatever side of the monopolistic duopoly they are on. We can start by writing to the 5 Democratic senators who smilingly posed with Netanyahu on his last visit to Washington, take AIPAC money and consistently vote to fund the genocide. (I agree with Dr. Jboor about the importance of using this word). Those senators, for those who haven’t seen the photo, are: Schumer, Booker, Klobucher, Levin and Schiff. Booker even had his picture taken in his office with the other Israeli official wanted for war crimes by the international court, Yoav Gallant. Both these photos are available on the internet. As a final comment, I have a mild complaint— I wish Ralph, whom I consider a role model, hadn’t talked over Dr. Jboor quite so much.
I meant to add one thing, an update of information that was included in the program. AOC is now using the word “genocide” in her communications. I received an email from her yesterday that goes out to thousands captioned, “Stop the Genocide Now.” That phrase was repeated in the text of the email. Keeping the pressure up is important.
We volunteers for grassroots activism are grateful for all our experienced elders to help guide us to save our young generation survive this political corruption.
Our fellow Substack journalist Anne Christine d’Adesky, on ‘Resisting Project 2025’ has updated info on key actors accelerating the wrecking ball and puts the sweat equity in lettinger We The People know where our taxes are not working for Americans, but instead using our money for ICE costs. Next 50501 Protest is Aug 2 Saturday. THANK YOU!
Thank you team for adding those segments with people doing good things in the world.
Sometimes I have to stop what I am doing just because I start crying thinking about the people in Gaza and the larger Palestine. The human experiment has failed, I say to myself, until I listen to examples of people doing good things, or simply beautiful things for the only reason of doing them because they are necessary - not only resisting fascism, for example. Many are doing that.
As for the letter to Obama, he doesn't care. Obama only cares about himself and his "legacy", whatever it is. He is a coward, just like all the leaders of countries that vote against Israel's actions in Gaza but continue to support the genocide in the way that actually makes a difference, with weapons and continuing trade deals with the genocidal regime.
Lastly, Ralph, please stop saying that Hamas is undercounting the dead in Gaza because it is self-serving. More than one of your guests who know a lot more about Hamas have said that they can only confirm the dead if they can identify at least one body part. In Gaza, this is impossible and we will never know the exact count until this atrocity has ended, if we ever do. Please, this is your opinion, so when saying that, state this is your personal opinion. Better yet, would be great to add that experts on the situation would disagree with you on the matter
Ralph.......thank you for having both of these fine doctors from Doctors Against Genocide. I have joined protests, been a member of JVP since the 2nd wk after Oct 7....as a non Jew.......I never miss your show. I will definitely follow Drs Against Genocide........
Please stop trying to get the Democrats (such as your open letter to Obama) to "save us " from Trump and offering the Dems strategies for 2026.
The big money Dems are one half of the one big money party that led to the symptom of Trump and will never be part of the solution.
A much better use of your time and influence would be to start now to encourage citizens to demand small donor candidates for 2026 and enforce that demand with their votes in 2026.
Please leave your footprints in the sand leading citizens out of the big money desert to the land of small donor politicians where democracy can grow and flourish.
Agreed. We need to replace these people FROM the working class. We, here in the WA 9th Congressional District atre working to challenge Adam Smith, AIPAC-Loving, warmongering Democrat.
A small donor is commonly defined as giving total contributions of 200 dollars or less to a candidate or Pac.
Your candidate accepts contributions up to 3500 dollars and seems to also have a Pac that probably accepts more than that.
Not a small donor candidate.
The help I can offer at this point is that you should get your candidate to become a small donor candidate.
This should not be confused with a small contribution candidate that claims the average contribution deception.
For example, a candidate can say they got 2000 dollars in average contributions of 50 dollars to make it appear as though they are running a small donor campaign. But if that 2000 dollars in 50 dollar contributions were all made by the same person then that person is not a small donor.
WSB does take small donations. It's complicated here. She will not compromise.
During her ten (10) years on the Seattle City Council, there are various funding options for candidates here. Right now for our August 5th local primaries, there is some debate about Seattle's "democracy vouchers" scheme. The Seattle Times recently argued against it.
I live in another city in the metropolis. I am in Smith's district for this upcoming federal election. To fight and unseat Adam Smith, bigger money will be required maybe. Maybe, if we can get the messages out, workers' will join us. That's IF we can reach them.
The local press certainly fights WSB and Kshama constantly, wedded as they are to Big Business. The No Kings Democratic party sponsored rallies refused to let Kshama speak. Olympia, WA does that also. Under predatory capitalism, socialists are not welcome. This is true in a 100% Democratic so-called 'Liberal' state. Thanks for the conversation. ✌️
A suggestion for a guest, to give us some hopeful thoughts and perspective on what is gonig on around the world: Vijay Prashad, to talk more about his Tricontinental Institute. I just listened to him on the Bill Ayers podcast, Under the Tree and it is a bit of an antidote to the dread that daily life for those of us who can't stop thinking about the genocide and the direction the world seems to be taking. Including quotes that are also a positive way to see the world and fight for what some might call "Utopia". It works for me.

Neither side wants a two-state solution. That is just political malarky for the rest of the world until one side can get enough support to eradicate the other side.
If only we had politicians against genocide, 🤨.

Marcus is so right, we have to take our children out into nature, camping, the ocean, the mountains, and help them develop a relationship with nature.
Excellent again Ralph Nader and Team.
