Dr. John Geyman is professor emeritus of family medicine at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, where he served as Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine. He is a family physician with over 25 years in academic medicine and practiced in rural communities for 13 years. Dr. Geyman is one of the most published family physicians in the United States with more than 160 journal articles and 10 books to his credit. For two years, he served as president of “Physicians for a National Health Program,” which is an organization of doctors working for comprehensive health care in the United States.
