If the Democrats want more people to vote for them, let them run a primary so people can actually chose the candidate they want. Don't have donor and DNC operatives appoint one.

Jason Berlin ’s efforts to increase the number of Democratic voters is a kind of double-edged sword. Today’s (reported September 8th) poll from the NYT/Sienna shows Trump ahead of Harris by one point. How an ignoramus like Trump retains support tells much of the political landscape in the US and begs the question as to why Harris doesn’t surge in the polls. A guess is that she will not take a strong stand to end both the Gaza genocide and the Ukraine war in Tuesday’s debate. She’s already announced a weak tax plan in the face of high inflation. Although a tangential issue, mass shootings are taking place at an alarming rate and almost no one seems to care. I’m able to vote for a third-party candidate since the Democrats far outnumber Republicans where I live, but that won’t change the outcome of the presidential election.

I write about protest on campuses vis-a-vis the Gaza war in this weekend’s edition of CounterPunch: “A Conversation With a Columbia University Student.” Please read the article.

I think most Americans don't spend much time listening to politicians or the news media gassing along each day ,,, they are to busy going to work to make a living ,,, it's coming the crucial time will be about two or three weeks before they vote or don't vote , this time or maybe always it's "show time" that counts.

Let's take Mr Trump I think when is gassing along he bores himself so much he goes off script ,, can you imagine for months or years telling people about people sneaking across a border,,no wonder he starts with a million or so and before long he's into the 10 , 20 , 30 millions .I think if we gave mr trump another year or so he would top the entire population of the United States.

"Show time " Harris , has a lot of work ahead of her , take that 1937 , Veronica Lake ,, peek a boo look ,no Kamala you can't go back in time ,that hair style has got to go .

She should stop cheering for someone to be president,,, someone on her team should remind her "she is the candidate."

What about running mates ?

I don't think a small town high school football coach or a Yale hick from the sticks has much appeal or influence for either side ,,to win or lose .but I maybe wrong ?

Will Harris cut or tie her hair back or will mr.Trump not bore himself to much ..to maybe win ?

The best part it will all be over soon .

Good luck America,, have a great day my friends.

IF “Foreign Influence” is SUCH a grave threat to “democracy”

why hasn’t CONgress passed H.R. 1118❓

DISCLOSE ACT of 2023

re: ILLICIT FOREIGN MONEY In FEDERAL ELECTIONS

“ . . .Specifically, the bill expands existing foreign money prohibitions to include disbursements for paid web-based or digital communications and federal judicial nomination communications. It also prohibits foreign nationals from contributing to campaigns related to ballot initiatives and referenda. . . .

Next, the bill makes it unlawful to establish or use a corporation, company, or other entity with the intent to conceal an election contribution or donation by a foreign national. A violator is subject to criminal penalties—a fine, a prison term of up to five years, or both.

Covered organizations (e.g., corporations, labor organizations, and political organizations) must, within 24 hours, file reports with the Federal Election Commission to disclose campaign expenditures of more than $10,000 during an election cycle.

The bill also requires organizations to provide additional disclosures regarding political advertisements, including the donors who contributed the most money to that organization in the last year. “

Good question with a simple answer; they will lose all campaign donations to keep them as permanent/professional corporate lackeys.

My emails are getting flooded with Harris/Walz solicitations; I have do doubt that they will win. Unfortunately I usually pick the winners in elections so will likely vote third party this time as I don't want to have my usual case of monstrous regret for what they actually do. "The Young Turks" have good coverage and they have no illusions.

Great interview. Happy to help as a publicist which it sounds like from that interview you badly need. Hope it's not too late. I'd donate $100 and ask several 1000-5000 donors I know to donate, if you send me your best short pitch. Also what would you need to help Kucinich's courage run as an Independent in a strong red new Ohio district. Hope you know he was one of the best Congresspersons in the past 25 years, and lost his seat when Ohio gerrymandered him. If he wins, and he has imho an even chance, it will be a gamechanger highlight what Left and Right have in common which at heart is radical! gary [ a t] my ngo site, GetCourageNow with usual extension. After the election, I could use your genius and devotiong for my next gamechanger new organizing tool startup, AdoptAnOrganizer (bit.ly/AAO/1p). Nader once awarded me one of his 4 best organizers on the NoneOfTheAbove referendum in California (around 1996)

Register Democrats to save the world is right up there with keep your government hands off my medicare. Registering more Democrats cannot save the world when it is Democrats that the world needs to be saved from.

It is no mystery why the Dems do not seem to try to win/compete with Republicans- the Dems job is to give citizens someone to vote for that will promise what citizens want but never deliver so that no alternative to the big money controlled politicians can develop.

So let's follow Ralph's advice on a mandate on the candidates performance to accompany our votes in 2024 that is contingent on the candidate running a small donor campaign and as the book title says- Let's Start the Revolution.

Ralph should adopt the model used by the guest to contact everyone on Ralph's mailing list that live in the 90% of congressional districts that are already decided for 2024 to cast a write in vote to register a vote against the big money candidates on the ballot in 2024 and to create and demonstrate demand for small donor candidates in 2026.

Also, Ralph left out of his have you been interviewed list the most important one- have you been interviewed by the Phil Donahue Memorial Public Owned Media Network?

As an informed citizenry is vital to a working democracy, wouldn't it be more beneficial for the RNRH to do a few episodes on these issues rather than providing an outlet for someone perpetuating the problem?

I live in Georgia, and I have a BURNING question. Here, we are as purplely now as Goofy Grape. (A product from the past..) We've got volunteer groups -- and Stacey Abrams is a key name behind at least one of them -- getting out the vote.

Q: Is there ANY coordination between those groups and Field Team 6?

PS > We've got a terrific, one-hour daily political show on WABE called "Politically Georgia." I am SURE that Bill Nigut and his team would love to do a piece on you. Please try to reach out.

From Jason Berlin:

For Thomas:

We have over 200 partner groups on the ground across the country, including America Votes Georgia and the Georgia chapter of N.O.W. We coordinate with them - but not with every group. Fortunately/unfortunately, there is *always* capacity for more voter registration in GA and every state, especially when the margins of victory are sometimes less than 12,000 votes – as in GA in 2020!

And if Thomas could connect us via email with “Politically Georgia,” we would love to talk to them!

Thank you!

More junk from Ralph. My god, so many important topics, and here we are, doing the old Jewish comic (ex?) song and dance about the poor poor demon-crats. Oh well, the duopoly isn't anymore in Ralph's eyes?
