Harvey Wasserman rejoins us this time to talk about the real mischief going on with electronic voting machines.  And Public Citizen’s Dr. Michael Carome warns us about bad drugs, antibiotic resistance, hospital infections and ways to avoid them.

Harvey Wasserman is a journalist, author, and advocate for renewable energy.  He writes widely on energy, the environment, history, election protection and politics.  In the early eighties, he helped organize Musicians United for Safe Energy, which resulted in the “No Nukes” concerts at Madison Square Garden and the “No Nukes” rally that took place in Battery Park.  Ralph was also part of the organizing and was one of the main speakers at that event.  For well over twenty-five years after that, there was not one nuclear power plant permitted.  Mr. Wasserman also hosts his own radio show called The Green Power and Wellness Hour with Harvey Wasserman.

Dr. Michael Carome took over for Dr. Sidney Wolfe as the director of Public Citizen’s Health Research Group in 2011.   Dr. Carome is an expert on issues of drug and medical device safety, pharmacy compounding, Food and Drug Administration oversight, healthcare policy, and the protection of human research subjects.  He has been quoted in publications such as The New York Times, The Washington Post, British Medical Journal, Science, The Chronicle of Higher Education and has appeared on National Public Radio’s Diane Rehm Show and NBC Nightly News.
