Has anyone noticed that Trump's 8-minute announcement of the war on Saturday morning included a rather odd statement:
“It’s time for all the people of Iran – Persians, Kurds, Azeris, Balochis and Akhvakhs – to shed from themselves the burden of tyranny and bring forth a free and peace-seeking Iran,” .
This appears to be a copy-and-paste version of Netanyahu's speech, with a slip-up on the last member of this list (the Akhvakhs live in Russia, not Iran):
"The time has come for all segments of the people in Iran – the Persians, the Kurds, the Azeris, the Balochis, and the Ahwazis – to rid themselves
of the yoke of tyranny and bring about a free and peace-seeking Iran."
Was Netanyahu dictating what Trump should say, and Kushner et al garbled the instructions? Or maybe one of his speech writers put in this absurdity as a kind of Freudian slip? A declaration of war written by a foreign leader is probably a first in world history....
Thank-you for such clarity! Superb guests--all.... This assumption of "preemptive" as motive & justification resulting in volatile action is perhaps our greatest threat! Geopolitically it is now rampant or viral(infecting), BUT we can offer our own prediction market folly: Will US citizens be deemed possibly enemy if opposing the all powerfuls? Putin's invasion was his preemptive take on what threatened his ecosystem. Xi assumes his top general is too spotlit so disappears him...back to Iran: rise up all Iranians and be our ground troops... suckers.
And in reality? We don't know what we don't know but sow dragon teeth in its ancient bloody ground which we just made bloodier.

The title is the first sign that this post is lopsided! THE WAR IS NOT WITH IRAN. THE IS ON IRAN! And that’s a big difference.
