Ralph welcomes back Glen Ford from Black Agenda Report to discuss the ongoing protests over police brutality and the myth of the “warrior cop.” Then Lisa Gilbert, executive vice-president of Public Citizen, tells us what they are fighting to get into the next stimulus package. Plus, Ralph updates us on the Boeing Max 8 issue.

Roughly $500-600 billion has been estimated to be the cost of covering everyone’s lost wages until January of next year. Instead, the fascist CARES Act gave $4-5 trillion dollars to big business and finance while giving people desperate to pay for food and rent table scraps. Why would the next “stimulus” bill be any different? I propose we stop calling them stimulus bills; you can’t stimulate an economy by making the rich richer while over a fifth of the population has no work.
Ralph is really lucky he didn’t make those disgusting McCarthyite “Moscow Mitch” quips in Glen Ford’s presence, there’s no way Glen would have tolerated it. He would have served up what is at this point some sorely-needed schooling to Ralph on the reality and consequences of evidence-free McCarthyite jingoism. Black Agenda Report is one of the very sites that for four years has been smeared and had its traffic massively reduced by search engine censorship under the guise of the very same McCarthyite narrative enabled by Ralph’s “Moscow Mitch” rhetoric.
Also the Democrats are just as corrupt as Republicans, if you’re not seeing it at this point then you’ve lost the forest for the trees.
Dear Ralph, I was saddened and dismayed to hear you repeat a cheap Democratic talking point by referring to McConnell as “Moscow Mitch”. Mitch McConnell, perhaps one of the most cynical politicians in American history, blocks legislation in the Senate because he represents corporate power and great wealth, certainly not because he takes orders from Putin. The Democrats only attack McConnell from this angle (and Trump for that matter) because they represent the same interests and are in fundamental agreement on most issues. You yourself have bemoaned the fact that the Democrats never expanded the impeachment inquiry to Trump’s real crimes, instead of fixating on Russiagate and the Ukrainian abuses, which amounted to about the same thing. I hate to see a man of your stature repeat the same tired smears as Pelosi and others of her ilk.Thank you and best wishes, Larry Fink
i agree -i was surprised at the smear. Ralph has traditionally been better than that. But then again all these politicians are starting to earn every derogatory name pinned on them let THEM see how it feels. Maybe Nader’s just tired-aren’t we all. so much BS! so much hypocrisy-everywhere demorats AND repuglicans.
More “whistle-Boeing” reports on the Boeing 737 Max & 777X. Raising questions on how many other deadly airframe flaws are being covered up by Boeing.
Will the major civil aviation authorities around the globe blindly rubber stamp the FAA certification again which contributed to the deadly 737 Max design reaching the market. Will the pandemic global recession recovery be the excuse for poor regulatory oversight? Are we the public suppose to be disposable test subjects again?
