Concerning number six of In Case You Missed It:

A constitutional amendment is currently the only means available for reversing Citizens United?

Even if that were true, this amendment is not the correct amendment to get the job done.

It says that artificial entities shall have no rights under the Constitution.

This means that an organization such as Move to Amend would no longer have rights under the Constitution if they were successful in getting the amendment passed and ratified.

It also says that the judiciary shall not construe the spending of money to influence elections to be speech under the First amendment.

This means that I, and every other citizen, would no longer have a constitutional right to make political contributions.

The We the People amendment is an amendment that takes away rights rather than establish rights.

A better way to reverse Citizens Untied would be for Ralph to organize the couple of million liberal and conservative people in the 435 congressional districts he mentions in his recent blog to demand that politicians do not take big money contributions and enforce that demand with our votes.

If started now for 2024 this could begin to produce positive results as early as 2026.

Or we could spend twenty plus years wasting time and treasure to pass the We the People amendment and only succeed in losing our rights instead of using our rights.
