I have a comment regarding your discussion of sports. I've posted several articles on your League of Fans site, particularly with regard to athletes like Colin Kaepernick who were willing to risk their careers by speaking out on important issues.
Since the genocide began in Gaza in 2023, North American athletes in particular have displayed astounding cowardice through their silence. I used to be a HUGE sports fan, but sitting through a game now makes me feel complicit in genocide. I simply can't do it. Even when my once beloved Toronto Blue Jays were in the World Series, I couldn't bring myself to watch overpaid cowards play a game that I still love.
Am I the only one who thinks this way? Given that so many people have sacrificed their careers and reputations to speak up for the people of Gaza, how can athletes be silent?

Once again we have examples of the corporate control of our government, media, legal system, etc. and like the trailer manufacturers that could have implemented solutions years ago Ralph proposes the same strategy of trying to solve the problem by setting up congressional watchdog groups trying to get the corporate controlled legislators and media to provide a solution instead of implementing a strategy that does not involve the corporate controlled politicians and media.
The corporations control the politicians and media with their money. This results in the politicians only passing legislation that primarily benefits the big money interests and the media not informing citizens about corporate malfeasance or anyone trying to do something about it.
So the solution is to break the money link between the politicians, media and the big money interests.
So let's set up congressional watchdog groups that demand that politicians run small donor campaigns and enforce that demand with our votes. And let's form a non-profit media conglomerate selling shares for 100 dollars to provide a non-corporate controlled media to provide citizens with the information they are not getting from the corporate media. These shares could only be sold for 100 dollars as the purpose of owning the shares is to control the media and not to make a profit on the value of the shares.
Just 6-7% of the 150 million voters investing 100 dollars would total 1 billion dollars and could be just the tip of the iceberg.
If we start now we can begin to have an effect in 2026 and make real progress by 2030 instead of allowing our citizens and democracy to continue to be crushed underneath the trailers (politicians and media) being towed by the big money interests.
The strategy of trying to get the corporate controlled politicians and media to work for citizens instead of the big money interests has not worked for fifty years.
Can't you find one hour of of your time to discuss with me some alternative strategies that are the embodiment of the principles you often espouse?

I am not convinced that AI is an advancement for humankind. I can see the good use of technology in medicine, for example, but do we really need AI? Will the doctors in the future rely so much in AI that the actual study of medicine will be simply optional? I already have a lot of doubts about the competence of many doctors I meet, not only because I don't trust their knowledge, but because they have been coopted by (or need to adapt to) our very bad "healthcare" system. I have stories to tell, including one when I had to do my own research on PubMed to find out what was happening to a friend after a week in the hospital and several specialists could not understand. It was simply a reaction to an antibiotic.
But in the case of medicine, it is so much more than the knowledge coming from years of study, it is understanding each person. As we could see from the interview, AI can, and do, become manipulative machines.
I am at a stage that the Internet is just a little, tiny part of my life, at least the things are choose to do o line, because every doctor, bank demand that you be connected, and some products you might need is only found in online stores.
Sometimes I think we should be going back to gather around a fire and tell each other stories and sharing knowledge.
