The Truth About American Manufacturing

Ralph asks New York Times reporter, Louis Uchitelle, how manufacturing can make a comeback in America.  And David Halperin reveals how the for-profit college industry is ripping us all off.

Louis Uchitelle writes on economics for The New York Times and other publications and is the author of The Disposable American: Layoffs and Their Consequences. His latest book is entitled Making It: Why Manufacturing Still Matters

David Halperin advises organizations on strategy, policy, politics, communications, and legal matters. He was previously: founding director of Campus Progress and senior vice president at the Center for American Progress; White House speechwriter and special assistant for national security affairs to President Clinton; co-founder of the Internet company RealNetworks; and counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee.  Currently he writes at RepublicReport.org, whose mission is to investigate how money corrupts democracy.
